In fact, for my last undergraduate project, I really wanted to do an installation work. It’s more in line with my future direction. It took me three years of undergraduate studies to finally explore the creative direction I really like. So, even though my installation idea was not selected, I still hope to incorporate it into my graduation project.

The reason why I chose the idea of ​​Galaxy Ballroom was that the inspiration pictures really moved me, and I really like the projections and stage installations in it. I communicated with Yujie, the author of the idea, and found that she actually only considered making 2D animation. I think her inspiration pictures are very good, and the names of her works are also well chosen. It would be a pity not to make “Galaxy Ballroom”. So I told her my idea and suggested that I find someone to work with to make this part of the thing. Happily, Yujie is very optimistic about this idea. So I roped in two other classmates who also wanted to make installation works and joined her group. Our group’s original plan only included 2D animation production, but now it also includes the installation part.
